The Greater Vernon Museum and Archives are pleased to announce that they are playing host to Voices from the Engraver, a travelling exhibit produced by the Bank of Canada Museum.
From June 13 until August 9, 2019, experience the creative process, the technical skill and the sheer artistry that underlie every series of Canadian stamps and banknotes, from concept to final product. Aimed at youth, families and adults, this exhibition is rich in artifacts and hands-on activities.
Adults can identify elaborate stamps from around the world, while children try their hand at reproducing the patterns of classic banknotes with the guilloché machine. Browse through digital timelines and biographies, or reminisce over past Canadian banknote series. There is something for everyone!
