Event Details:

The Vernon Community Arts Centre is excited to offer a broad range of classes for homeschool students in a studio setting! All classes are taught by our Youth Instructor and Emily Carr graduate, Samantha Hesketh. Our program for youth ages 12 - 16 runs Fridays 12:00pm - 3:00pm. Sign up for one class or sign up for them all! 

WINTER CLASS SCHEDULE:
January 12th: Make a Mural
Learn the process for creating a mural from the concept creation to planning and execution
January 19th: Drawing Portraits
Practice portraiture while also learning about proportions and mark making.
January 26th: Clay Castles
Work on handbuilding techniques while creating your own clay castle.
February 2nd: Earthworks
Join us as we create interactive and natural sculptures.
February 9th: Silk Screening
Learn silk screening techniques while designing your own shirt!
February 23rd: Drawing with Colour
Learn to create unique works of art using colour.
March 2nd: Learning Compositions
Learn the basic ideas and importance of composition in your artwork.
March 9th: Art and Community
Learn how nature and the world outside can help inspire beautiful works of art!
March 16th: Drawing Proportions and Anatomy
Learn techniques for drawing proper proportions.
