Joining Hands assists and provides adults living with disabilities varied opportunities to explore and develop their artistic abilities with other people of common interests.
The project accommodates beginner, emerging and established artists, giving them the opportunity to be a part of something tangible in their community through artistic and creative expression. Every person should feel a genuine sense of purpose and belonging and be given the opportunity to actively participate and contribute to their community.
WHEN: The program takes place every Wednesday and Friday from 10:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Vernon Community Arts Centre.
HOW TO JOIN: New participants and their support are always welcome to come in on Wednesdays or Fridays to meet the program coordinator and observe the program.
For more information or if interested in participating in Joining Hands, please contact Hannah Woodhouse at the number provided or drop by the Vernon Community Arts Centre.
