Arts, Culture and Heritage
Join Vernon Museum Education Coordinator Gabriel Newman as he walks you through downtown Vernon sharing anecdotes and history that inspired Vernon’s outdoor art gallery. From murals depicting the world wars, to the beautiful pottery of Axel Ebring, the Okanagan Indian Band, cowboys, and multiculturalism, over 28 different murals are found in the downtown core. These works of art created by a collaboration of artists depict the history, culture, scenery, and folklore that have made Vernon what it is today.
