There will be an opening prayer and smudge ceremony by Okanagan Indian Band (OKIB) Elder, Mollie Bono, followed by speeches from the artist and representatives from the Downtown Vernon Association and The Social Planning Council as well as dignitaries (TBA).
At approximately 10:30 am, there will be a 90-minute performance from Kelowna-based country singer-songwriter, Michael Daniels to celebrate.
