Bring in the New Year with some good ole Blues, Soul, R&B, and Motown music.

Hailing from the 'Left Coast' of Canada, Rick “Poppa Dawg” Halisheff and his band present the Blues with a unique, tongue-in-cheek view and a deep and respectful appreciation of the music. The band's sound moves from the slinky grooves of New Orleans to the down and dirty rawness of Chicago and all points in-between. 

Gritty and dynamic, they take the music from rushing peaks to hushing lows, and then Poppa Dawg steps back from the mic to spread the news.

The evening includes hor d'oeuvres, champagne, New Year’s party favours, and a bustling celebration to ring in the new year. 

The band features Rick “Poppa Dawg” Halisheff (guitar & vocals), Doug Sonju (saxophone), Luke Pittman (bass), and Brian “Skip” Maguire (drums).

Poppa Dawg will be onstage at the Vernon Jazz Club (3000-31 Street) on Monday, December 31st at 9 PM. Doors open at 8:00 PM. CASH ONLY BAR ON SITE.
