A vocalist, songwriter, arranger and performer praised for her “…soulful confidence, exquisite intonation, phrasing, and sense of time.” (All About Jazz). Melody’s recorded albums include “Metaphora” with Altered Laws—winner of the 2008 Western Canada Music Awards ‘Outstanding Jazz Record of The Year’ and JUNO nominee. Melody was also nominated ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ at the National Jazz Awards, “She is – and will always be – a force to reckon with in contemporary vocal music.” (Toronto Music Report). SUMNER’S TALES: THE MUSIC OF STING is a bold next step, working with songs by Sting, one of the greatest songwriters ever. Remaining faithful to the essence of the songs, Melody roams freely over grooves and soundscapes that run the gamut from lush to bombastic.
